“So you develop a very, I should say, a pleasing personality. That’s very important. You must have a very pleasing personality. But that is not acceptable in certain countries because it’s said that you should not show your, any pleasing personality, because others will think you are weak. The strength is your joy. Strength is your virtue, strength is your pleasing personality. That is your strength.” © Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, photo @brigitadaisy
Detached view
“You have to be very clean within yourself, you have to be very powerful within yourself and you have to be extremely sensitive. So, we are not to waste our energy, our attention onto superficial and nonsensical things. You have to get out of it, and we have to become people who are detached, detached from any things which create problems. If you take a detached view of everything you will have a kind of a life that will nourish your society which is now sick.” © Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, photo @vishwasakshini
Basis of spirituality
“Innocence is the sustenance, is the basis of spirituality. If a person doesn’t have innocence, he cannot rise in spirituality. That’s why the first job of Sahaja Yoga is to establish Shri Ganesha within you, to awaken Him.” © Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, photo @saritaartist
Ganges within
“So you have to absorb that flow of the Ganges within you and assimilate it and transform yourself. The Ganges would be flowing, but if it is flowing through the stony area, the stones are not going to absorb anything from the river Ganges. But if it is flowing through fertile land, everybody will be making use of that water. So you have to make use of your Kundalini by transforming yourself. Try to transform. See that how much you transform.” © Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, photo by Vira Hordynska
Rhythm
“We are living in an age of, we are living in an age of a jet, you see, we’re living in an age of speed and in that speed, we have to keep the balance and the rhythm. That’s what you have to learn is to keep the balance and the rhythm and then you have to come to the first beat, that is the Spirit. So, how you are bound, may go anywhere with any speed, keep the speed, keep the balance and come back to the same first beat which is the Spirit – that’s how it works out.” © Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, photo @rayheartphotography
Truth
“Now the Truth is that the Spirit is within you and you are the Spirit. You are the beauty, the bliss and the joy of that Spirit. That’s what you are. Because your attention is not there that’s why you cannot feel your Spirit. But your Spirit exists, it is within you, in your heart, waiting for a moment to come into your conscious mind, to be felt by you in your central nervous system. It’s all there, built within you.” © Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi
